MOLINE, Illinois - The long awaited work on 41st Street near John Deere Road is finally complete, at least for the year.
Traffic has been opened so there are now two through lanes on 41st Street. The northbound shutdown has ended and all directions of travel are back to normal.
There will be no construction activity during the Thanksgiving Holiday, but McCarthy Improvement says it looks forward to the '2017 Construction Season.'
" [There will be] just traffic adjustments to allow for the intersection of John Deere Road to be constructed," Project Manager Ryan Birney said when asked whether there will be more construction next year. "After the intersection is constructed over the next two seasons, we will need to finish some medians at the north end of 41st that were left out for these adjustments."
