ROCK ISLAND, Illinois--  Rock Island High School Senior, Kylie Wymer has been collecting thousands of gently used books since the summer. Now she's making sure every elementary student in Rock Island and Milan schools has the chance to take one home.

It's a part of her Recycled Library project, an idea she came up with to enter into the Thoms Above and Beyond Scholarship, to raise money for college.

She plans to deliver books to every classroom to a total of nine schools, starting with her Alma mater Denkmann Elementary.

"It's been really fun, I like to look through the books and seeing the different kind of books that I read as a kid, that I'm passing down to different generations now," says Wymer.

Each teacher getting a book donation will be asked to take a picture of the kids with their books, so Kylie can get credit towards her scholarship.
