BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) — Time is running out for car enthusiasts who have been able to pick through an abandoned auto graveyard in Burlington before the vehicles will be crushed and sold as salvage metal.

Phil Grandinetti has allowed people to scavenge through Putnam’s Auto Body Shop junkyard since Nov. 5. Grandinetti bought the former site of an auto body shop in July and found more cars than expected on the property after going through the overgrown property, the Hawk Eye reports.

The opportunity to go through the property ends Sunday, Nov. 20. Cars will start being moved for crushing next week.
