PEORIA, Ill. (AP) — Authorities say a central Illinois woman reported missing about two weeks ago has been found dead in her crashed pickup truck along a Peoria County road.

County Coroner Johnna Ingersoll tells The (Peoria) Journal Star that a hunter found Jamie Harroun's body Saturday morning, Nov. 12, in the wreckage of her truck along a road in western Peoria County.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed Sunday.

Ingersoll says the Mackinaw woman's pickup truck apparently "left the road, went through a field, down a hill and struck an embankment." She says Harroun may have been headed to Pekin at the time of the crash.

Harroun was last seen Oct. 31 in Galesburg. Her mother soon began appealing to the public for information about Harroun's whereabouts and a search was conducted Wednesday.
