MOLINE, Illinois-- With Thanksgiving around the corner, Mr. Thanksgiving is once again raising money for people who may not have anyone to share the holidays with.

This is the 46th annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner South Park Mall. As many as 2,500 people from all over the Quad City get a home cooked meal, prepared by Hy Vee.

It costs about $15,000 to get everything prepared and right now Mr. Thanksgiving has about a couple thousand dollars for this year's event, so he's looking for more donors to help make this year possible.

""It's like one large family from the volunteers to making people feel welcome people sitting next to strangers. All of a sudden they're talking and that's what it's all about, it's like to me the gathering of the first Thanksgiving," says Bob "Mr. Thanksgiving" Voegelbaugh.

Donations for the Thanksgiving Dinner can be sent to 3704  26th street in Moline.

Donation for pies will also be accepted Wednesday, November 23rd or Thanksgiving Day in the vacant space near Von Maur in South Park Mall.

Volunteers do not need to sign up.  People who want to help set up or prepare food can report to the Food Court, anytime after 8:00 am on Thanksgiving.

Volunteers who want to help serve or tear down can come to the event anytime after 3 pm on the day of the dinner.
