DAVENPORT, Iowa — Veterans were honored at All Saints Catholic School in Davenport on Thursday, Nov. 10. The school invited service members into the classrooms to teach the students about Veterans Day, and what it means to serve your country.

Students say having them come and spend time is just a way to say thank you. One Marine tells us the visit to the classroom made his day.

"I enjoy being around the little people because it makes my day knowing they like to see us," said John Reyes, Marine Corps veteran.

"It's really fun, it's really nice that we get to honor the veterans and I think they really enjoy it, too," said student Katie Anderson.

The veterans were also honored with lunch and the students performed for them.
