DAVENPORT, Iowa -- Beginning on Monday, Nov. 7 through Wednesday, Nov. 23 work at the Iowa-bound I-74 and US 67/State Street Exit 4 interchange will close the Exit 4 ramp, reports the Iowa DOT construction office.
During construction, drivers traveling north on westbound I-74 may access US 67/State Street by continuing north and exiting at the Middle Road Exit 3 interchange, then turning left onto Middle Road, then using the eastbound I-74 on-ramp to travel south on eastbound I-74 to the Grant Street/State Street interchange.
There will be a 14-foot width lane restriction and a 75-foot vehicle length restriction in the open lane during construction.
The Iowa DOT asks drivers to drive with caution, obey the speed limit and other construction signs, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. Stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear your seat belt.
