The Quad Cities Is Getting Ready To “Go Red For Women”

On Tuesday, November 1st, 2016, you can help fight the Number 1 and Number 5 killer of women in the United States.

That’s when the Go Red for Women Luncheon will take place at the RiverCenter in Davenport. Iowa. The event starts at 10:30am, with a lunch/program starting at Noon. It’s organized by the American Heart Association and presented by UnityPoint Health Trinity. For ticket information, click here.

stomping-out-heart-disease-logoThis year’s theme is: “Stomping Out Stroke and Heart Disease.” Heart Disease is the Number 1 killer of women in the United States and Stroke is Number 5. The two cause 1 in 3 deaths among women each year – more than all cancers combined.

Fortunately, we can change that because 80% of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.
