Ahoy! Putnam’s new exhibit displays shipwreck artifacts

The Shipwreck Pirates and Treasures exhibit opens to the public on Saturday, Oct. 15 and will be on display for the next three months.

DAVENPORT, Iowa — Pirates and treasure are taking over the Putnam Museum. The Shipwreck Exhibit was unveiled on Friday, Oct. 14. It includes more than 500 artifacts from shipwreck recoveries and a robotic arm that guests can try.

The Science Center App was also revealed today, to add another layer to your experience at the Putnam.

"When you are exploring it will give you more information on things, trivia contest to play a map of the museum so you know where you are inside the museum," said Kim Findlay, Putnam Museum & Science Center.

The Shipwreck Pirates and Treasures exhibit opens to the public on Saturday, Oct. 15 and will be on display for the next three months.
