DAVENPORT, Iowa — An area fishing hole is stocked and ready to go - and so are the fishermen. About 2,000 rainbow trout were released at West Lake Park on Friday, Oct. 14.

The Scott County site is already a popular fishing spot but fishermen were already out there this morning, ready for the trouts' release.

"This kind of introduces people to trout fishing and then we hope they go out and enjoy it elsewhere," said Chad Dolan of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources.

Dolan expects a lot of the fish to be caught over the next month but says there should be trout at WEst Lake for the next 2-3 months.
