MOLINE, Illinois -- Iowa-bound traffic on I-74 was down to one lane early Thursday morning, October 13, 2016, after a man with a machete, walked onto the I-74 Bridge.
Moline Police say it happened just after 3 a.m. Thursday. Police officers claim the 34-year-old man told police to shoot him. After trying to get the man off the bridge, officers tasered him to get him down.
Police say the man is being evaluated for his mental condition. Police are not releasing his name. All lanes of I-74 are back open at this time.
