BURLINGTON, Iowa — Police have arrested a man they say is responsible for a rash of vandalism throughout the city.
On Tuesday, October 11, 2016, police were getting complaints that windows had been shot out of vehicles and buildings with a BB gun, according to a statement posted on the Burlington Police Department’s Facebook page.
Around 11:35 p.m., in the 700-block of South Main, police pulled over “a vehicle suspected of being involved with the vandalisms,” read the post. Inside the vehicle, police said they found a BB gun and pellets.
Ultimately, police said that “it was determined one of the occupants inside of the vehicle was the person responsible for the vandalisms.”
Burlington Police arrested 19-year-old Christian Jacob Adams, and charged him with second-degree criminal mischief and possession of a controlled substance. Adams was held in the Des Moines County Correctional Center on $6,000 bond.
A court appearance was pending.
