DAVENPORT, Iowa — Rainbow colors filled LeClaire Park Saturday afternoon, Sept. 24, for the Quad Cities Fall Pride Festival. Bands entertained the crowds while vendors sold food, drinks and crafts. Local bands Funktastic 5 and Corporate Rock took the stage Saturday, and other entertainment included belly dancers, hooping and burlesque performances.
Kids enjoyed bounce houses and found their way through a corn maze. The festival's creative director says the weekend takes 11 months of preparation, but it all pays off.
"They can expect LGBT diversity, expect a good time. Support those who support us," said Andrew Glasscock, creative director.
Pride Fest returned to the Quad Cities this weekend after a year off. Last year's fest was cancelled due to low funds.
