MILAN, Illinois — A Halloween tradition has come to an end. Schone’s Friendship Farm will no longer host their hayrides and bonfires.

Deb and Roger Schone made the announcement on Facebook, saying that the amount of work that goes into the hayrides is “just too much for us.”  The announcement was made in late August.

While they will not be entertaining the Quad Cities with dancing skeletons and chainsaws, the farm itself will remain open and will continue with its boarding business.
