EAST MOLINE, Illinois--Professional Singapore Basketball Player and East Moline native, Kannon Burrage has challenged the East Moline Police Department to a game of basketball with the community.

The event is called "United We Ball," Burrage says it's a chance for both sides to connect and build stronger relationships in light of recent police violence.

"I've been having this idea for quite a while, I have the resources to easily get maybe 10 to 20 guys down to the court and play basketball. I figure why not use that resource and also get some police officers down and sort of have an engaging event with the community," Burrage says.
The game is set for Wednesday, July 27 from noon to 4 pm.
