Modern Woodmen Park host first traveling Baseball Hall of Fame Tour

DAVENPORT, Iowa-- The first traveling Baseball Hall of Fame Tour opened Sunday, July 3 outside Modern Woodmen Park.

The tour will visit 30 major league cities within five to six years, with Davenport being the first stop.  Erik Strohl, vice president of exhibitions of the National Baseball Hall of Fame explains why the Quad Cities was the best starting point for the tour.

"If you talk to anybody in professional baseball they'll tell you that the quad cities is a great place to come. What wonderful fan engagement, love their minor league team with a beautiul ball park you have right here across the street."

The Baseball Hall of Fame will be in Davenport until Sunday, July 10.
