MUSCATINE, Iowa — A citizen's group in Muscatine says it's concerned about proposed code changes that could strip away power from the city's mayor.
Take Back Muscatine says if approved, the proposed changes on tonight's special session agenda would take away the mayor's ability to appoint anyone to boards and commissions, or select the city's fire or police chief.
An informational picket was planned before the special session at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 23.
