ROCK ISLAND, Illinois — An apparent water main break flooded the intersection of 31st Avenue and 30th Street.
The water was pooling in the roadway before 8 a.m., Thursday, June 16, 2016; it was starting to recede after 8 a.m. As of 10 a.m. Thursday, City Public Works Director Randy Tweet said crews were still working on 31st Avenue, but the street was back open after a short closure.
This intersection is located near the Rock Island Library and First Baptist Church. Tweet says just one house was affected and was issued a boil advisory.
