One man has died after drowning in a small lake near Sabula, Iowa.
On Saturday, May 28, 2016, Jackson County Sheriff’s deputies responded to 607th Avenue in rural Sabula shortly after 1 p.m. While searching the lake, they found 21-year-old Eugene Albert Kemp, Jr., of Clinton, Iowa.
Rescue crews pulled Kemp from the water and took him to Mercy Hospital in Clinton, where he was pronounced dead.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and the Clinton County Medical Examiner are still investigating the incident.
