Davenport Fire Department’s Lt. Mark Kakert laid to rest

Lt. Kakert with the Davenport Fire Department passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2016.

He was the public education officer, and served almost 30 years in the department.  Lt. Kakert was known for being passionate about his position and is remembered for his work in the community.

He was laid to rest on Monday, May 23, 2016 at St. Anthony's Church in Davenport. Dozens of emergency vehicles from around the Quad Cities were there.
