Animal shelter offers free microchipping in Moline May 21

MOLINE, Illinois — The Quad City Animal Welfare Center will be offering free microchipping on dogs and cats Saturday, May 21, 2016. The event will be held noon to 2 p.m. at the Green Family Hyundai, 6801 44th Avenue in Moline.

The QCAWC’s full time shelter veterinarian Dr. Nichollette Rider will be implanting permanent microchips for people’s cats and dogs at no charge, courtesy of Green Family Hyundai. The business will also offering a free car wash coupon with any donation to the shelter, with a 20 percent off mechanical services coupon when a family donates more than $20.

Dogs and cats will also be available for adoption. Animals are already spayed and neutered, microchipped, vaccinating and testing. Adoption fees are $40 for cats and $100 for dogs.
