Quaker Oats recalls their quinoa granola bars for possible health risk

Granola bars from Quaker Oats have been recalled because they contain sunflower kernels that may be contaminated with Listeria.

Two types of Quinoa Granola Bars were being voluntarily recalled, according to the Food and Drug Administration. Those products were:

6.1 oz boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Chocolate Nut Medley with UPC code 30000 32241 and a Best Before Date of 10/16/2016 or 10/17/2016

6.1 oz boxes of Quaker Quinoa Granola Bars Yogurt, Fruit & Nut with UPC code 30000 32243 and a Best Before Date of 10/10/2016 or 10/11/2016

The recall was issued on Monday, May 16, 2016. There had not been any reported illnesses to date. There were no other Quaker products involved in the possible contamination.

If you have either of these products, you are urged to throw them away, or return them to wherever you bought them and get your money back.
