Drivers may have to find a different route for a week as workers wash Arsenal Island’s bridges.
The Government Bridge will be completely closed to drivers and pedestrians on Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15.
The Rock Island Viaduct will have one lane closed Monday and Tuesday, May 16 and 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. Traffic will be moving, but a flagman will be there to direct. The American Discovery Trail will also be closed to pedestrians during the cleaning.
The Moline Bridge will have one lane closed from Wednesday, May 18 through Friday, May 20. Traffic will be moving in both directions, but will be directed by a flagman.
