Body pulled from Mississippi River in Buffalo, Iowa

BUFFALO, Iowa — A body was pulled from the Mississippi River in Buffalo, Iowa.

It was around 9:20 a.m. when a caller reported the body on Friday, May 13, 2016, according to the Scott County Sheriff's Department.  The Buffalo Fire Department, Buffalo Police Department, and Scott County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and pulled the body from the river.  Emergency vehicles were at a boat ramp off Front Street.

The body was described as a white male that was about 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighed about 170 pounds.

"At this time the subject is unidentified and the cause of death is unknown," said a statement from the Buffalo Police Department.
