The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities is reporting that 3 tornadoes touched down just outside the Quad Cities Monday May 9th. The reports were sent in by trained storm chasers and spotters between 5:15pm and 5:43pm. All of the tornadoes are currently rated EF-0.

The first tornado was 25 to 50 yards wide and was reported 2 miles southeast of Bushnell in Mcdonough County, IL. The tornado was reported at 5:15pm and was only on the ground for 2 minutes. No damage or injuries were reported by the storm.

The second tornado was also reported at 5:15pm. It occurred 5 miles north of Winfield in Louisa County, IA. This was another brief touchdown with no injuries or damages reported.

Finally, another tornado was reported at 5:43pm just 1 mile south of Greenbush in Warren County, IL. This was again just a brief touchdown with no injuries or damages reported.

There were no warnings for the tornadoes due to the fact that they formed and fell apart so quickly. The circulations were very small and shallow which made them difficult to pick up on from the Radar.
