PERU, Illinois - A local man, who is a volunteer baseball coach and substitute teacher at LaSalle-Peru High School, is charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a minor.

Kyle Pisano, 24, was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim over the age of 5, according to online court records.  The charges stem from Pisano's alleged sexual contact with a female student between 13 and 17 years of age according to a report from the Bureau County Republican. There was no evidence of any additional victims.

District administrators were notified of the allegations Thursday, April 28; the internal investigation began the next day and Pisano voluntarily resigned that day, the report said.

The internal investigation continued over the weekend; Pisano was arrested at his Peru home Tuesday, May 3, 2016.

Jail records showed Pisano was released after posting 10 percent of the $75,000 bond.  He was next scheduled to appear in court June 6.
