DAVENPORT, Iowa – A branch of Northwest Bank and Trust was reportedly robbed in Davenport, Iowa.
The robbery was reported just before 3 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at the bank at 1454 West Locust Street.
Initial information indicated the suspect was possibly a white man wearing a ball cap, light-colored pants, a gray t-shirt and a hooded jacket.
Police later said the man “implied a weapon” and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
It was not immediately clear whether the suspect was actually armed.
The suspect was last seen running away from the bank northbound on Washington Street, according to police at the scene. He was described later as a white male, 5-feet 6-inches tall, and weighing about 160 pounds.
As a precaution, police reportedly provided extra presence as students were dismissing from nearby All Saints Catholic School, located just west of the bank.
Police officers and a police K-9 searched the area but had not yet found the suspect.
No injuries were reported.
