Four Dogs Attack Child in Des Moines County

BURLINGTON, Iowa-  A child is in the hospital after a dog attack near the city.

The Des Moines County Sheriffs Office says the incident happened around 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016, in the 4200 block of 160th Street. According to witnesses, a four-year old was attacked by four dogs.

The child was taken to a nearby hospital but later airlifted to Iowa City. The child is in critical but stable condition, according to the Sheriffs Office.

Police are still investigating.
