Authorities say man died after being hit by train

GRINNELL, Iowa (AP) — Authorities say a 39-year-old man died after being hit by a train in central Iowa.

Medics and police were sent to the scene in Grinnell a little after 2:15 a.m. Saturday. The man they found was unresponsive, and he was pronounced dead later.

He was identified as Forrest Duncan, who lived in Grinnell.

The incident is being investigated.
