Jo Daviess man accused of predatory sexual abuse

A Jo Daviess County man is in custody and accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

APPLE RIVER, Illinois — A Jo Daviess County man is in custody and accused of sexually assaulting a minor.

Steven Havens, 47, is charged with two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, all of which are felonies.

Jo Daviess detectives had been investigating Havens following claims of child sexual abuse.

Havens was taken into custody on April 1, 2016 by the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s Detectives and Critical Incident Tactical Response Team. He is held in the Jo Daviess County Jail on $250,000 bond.
