Davenport, Rock Island ready for rising Mississippi River

As the Mississippi River rises, surrounding cities were preparing for flooding.

On Friday, March 25, 2016 the river was at 14.08 feet and was expected to reach 15 feet by Saturday evening.  On Monday the river was forecast to reach 16 feet and crest at 16.3 feet on Wednesday.

Rock Island and Davenport were preparing with pumps, gatewalls and sandbags. Click here to see details on the preparations.
