EAST MOLINE, IL - Residents in East Moline are still picking up the pieces after last weeks' storm. Some residents in Evergreen Village have already heard from their insurance companies, while others are still waiting.

"I just hope they take care of us and do their job, because when you pay insurance all your life someone should take care of you, I guess," said Raymond Kopatich, resident, Evergreen Village.

With the storm damage Kopatich said his home is almost a complete loss. He has State Farm insurance and is still waiting to hear how much it will cost to make the next step. "We don't know nothing yet, as a matter of fact they were supposed to come and talk to us today," said Kopatich.

It's not the same case for his next-door-neighbor Joseph Reedy, he already knows what his next steps are."I should be able to rebuild exactly what we had I'm gonna add a little more to it but everything should build up the same as what we had," said Joseph Reedy, Resident Evergreen Village.

Reedy has Allstate and they've already told him that he is completely covered to rebuild his home. "It makes me feel really well, I mean I was gonna do all the dishing work to begin with but now I don't have to pay for it I can get it done with my insurance," said Reedy.

These are just the first steps in a long road ahead for residents affected by the storm.
