A group of more than 40 Iowa and Illinois Cross Fit members came to help clean up the aftermath of an EF-2 tornado that hit an East Moline neighborhood.

People met just after noon on Saturday to saw down damaged trees, rake and gather debris, and to transport all the rubble out of the area.

Even though many Cross Fit members don't have a direct connection with tornado victims, they say helping out a community in need is their number one priority.

Tornado victims say they are in need of rubber gloves, garbage bags, and rakes; anything that can aid in the clean up of their properties.
