NEWTON, Iowa (AP) — Two inmates remain missing from the Newton Correctional Release Center.

The Iowa Corrections Department says the two were not present at inmate counts Saturday night, February 27, 2016.

The department says the two are Michael Amodeo and Jessy Foley.

Amodeo is serving a 10-year sentence for two drug convictions. His sentence began on Aug. 13, 2015. Foley is serving a 27-year sentence for two drug convictions and one for voluntary absence. His sentence began on June 16, 2004.

The Corrections Department says the Correctional Release Center inmates fall into three primary categories: release preparation, challenging criminal thinking, and substance abuse treatment.
