Henry County Jail inmate on the loose after walking away from work release program

Authorities were asking the public for help in finding a Henry County Jail inmate who left his work release program.

HENRY COUNTY, Iowa - Authorities were asking the public for help in finding a Henry County Jail inmate who left his work release program.

Inmate Nathen Cosgrove, age 19, "walked away from his assigned work release program" on Thursday, February 25, 2016 around 9:30 p.m., according to a statement from the Henry County, Iowa Sheriff's Office.   Cosgrove was booked into the jail just a day before for violating his probation on a trafficking stolen weapons charge.

Cosgrove is described as a black man with black hair and brown eyes. He stands at 5-feet, 11-inches tall, weighs 230 pounds and has a tattoo that says "KUSH" on his right upper arm.

Police said more charged were pending as they continued their investigation.
