Black Hawk College offers free assistance to help QC laid off workers find jobs

Black Hawk College has a special team that helps laid off employees get back into the work force after being laid off. The college is part of the state's rapid response team to help anyone that has been laid off throughout the Quad Cities.

They talk to people about retraining possibilities and help them in the job search - from resumes to cover letters and pointing them in the right direction.

"We don't want anyone unemployed the goal of the state and the goal of Black Hawk is get them out there working because everyone is happier and more successful and its a lot better for everybody if they are working so that what we try to do," said Bruce Storey with Black Hawk.

The service is offered to anyone and at no charge.
