It was just one of those nights for a Republican precinct at Davenport West High School.

Caucus goers say the location did not expect the large turnout, and they ran out of ballots not once, but twice, at one location in Davenport.

"We got here early, about 15 minutes before the place was suppose to open and the room was already full. Shortly after they ran out of the pre-printed ballots," says voter Judith Buck.

After the precinct at Davenport West High School ran out of ballots the first time, caucus chairpersons started handing out pieces of paper with their initials to validate each ballot.

The second time they ran out, the chair resorted to using coupon-like pieces of paper to make sure everyone was able to vote.

Tensions were high once all the votes were cast. Many of the caucus voters watched carefully to make sure each vote counted was validated with an initial.

In the end, Donald Trump won over the caucus precinct with 40 votes followed closely by Ted Cruz with 39 votes.
