Eight Special Olympics athletes hit the slopes at Ski Snowstar in Andalusia, Illinois for a day of competition and fun.
"The Special Olympics is all about what they can do, so we don't ever focus on their disability," said one person at the event.
Athletes competed in Giant Slalom, Super G, and downhill routes. They all qualified for the state competition in Galena.
