Davenport police are investigating a pair of shootings which took place over the first two days of the new year.

Around 3 a.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2015, one man was shot after a fight at a home in the 1700 block of Fillmore Lane. The man was taken to Genesis West and later transferred to Iowa City with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police Captain Brent Biggs said the shooting appears to have stemmed from a disturbance at a home on Fillmore Lane.

At approximately 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, police also responded to the 1200 block of Brown Street. They found a man that had been shot, and he was taken to Genesis Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. He was later transferred to a hospital in Iowa City, as well.

Detectives recovered shell casings at the scene and are continuing to investigate.

So far, no arrests have been made in connection with either shooting.
