Two passengers were injured when the car they were riding in ran into a cement bridge in Jo Daviess County.
The crash happened shortly before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30 on North Stockton Road, according to a statement from the Jo Daviess County Sheriff’s office. The driver, a 36-year-old man, was headed southbound on the roadway when he lost control of his vehicle struck a cement bridge about a half-mile south of East Meyer Road.
The front passenger, a 54-year-old, and the back seat passenger, a 34-year-old, were both taken to a nearby hospital, according to the statement; the driver was not hurt.
The crash remained under investigation.
