The 41 year old driver of a pick up truck died after his vehicle left the road and struck a pole Thanksgiving night.
Bettendorf police have not yet released the name of the driver but say his pick-up went out of control on Middle Road north of 53rd Avenue just after 8 p.m. Thursday, November 26.
The vehicle crossed the center line, drove through a ditch, and hit a utility pole.
Paramedics rushed the man to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
No one else was injured.
An investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
