So far through 5am Tuesday, parts of Western Illinois have gone above an inch of rainfall. Macomb leads the way with an inch and a quarter so far with more rain coming over the next 18 hours. The heaviest rain will fall through the midday hours. A few rumbles of thunder are also possible this evening as the rain ramps up once again.
Futuretrack shows possible totals above two inches by the time this wraps up. This is just below flood guidance. Most of this will run off effectively or soak into the ground.
But please watch for water on the roadways and streets due to leaves clogging storm drains.
