In Muscatine, voters elected a new mayor, Diana Broderson, over current mayor DeWayne M. Hopkins. Hopkins got about 45% of the vote, while Broderson got about 53%.
Wilton voters elected Robert L. Barrett over Chad A. Said as their mayor. With both precincts reporting, Barrett had about 60% of the vote and Said had 39%.
Mayoral candidates ran uncontested in Conesville, Fruitland, Nichols, Stockton, and West Liberty.
No one ran for mayor or any of the at-large council positions in Atalissa. After the election, the auditor's office was reviewing dozens of write-ins.
