While the future of Bettendorf's Lodge Hotel remains in limbo, everything inside the building will go on sale.

The sale opens to the public at 10 a.m., Thursday, at the hotel.

It costs $4 to enter.  The sale is expected to continue for about a month.

The former Jumer's Castle Lodge offers surprises in every room.

"I'm walking through the building," said Project Manager Jim Long.  "This is cool.  Where's that from?"

Long bought everything inside.  Now, he's selling it.

"It's definitely the end of an era," he said.

From .50 hangers to a painting of a Pope for $8,500, there's something for everyone.

"You see how nicely they're framed," he gestured.  "They're lighted.  They cared."

The shuttered hotel is packed full of memories and a whole lot of stuff.

This sale will bring in several hundred thousand dollars.

Proceeds could spark new development on the site.

"Every time we mention Jumer's Castle Lodge, people's ears pick up," said Long.

The iconic dining room that served Bavarian treats and holiday meals is silent now.

You can almost hear the piano playing.

Speaking of pianos, there's an 1850's era Steinway hidden in the basement.  Asking price, $4,750.

"It's unique, highly nostalgic and very interesting," he continued.

Visitors will remember an antique sleigh.  It's up for $3,500.

There's taxidermy everywhere, stained glass panels and artwork galore.

"This is a real picker's delight, and I've been doing this for 40 years," he said.

While books from the library get a once-over, the bear in the bar needs a new home.

"When inevitability happens, what a great way to get it out to the community," he concluded.

From the antique key shelf behind the front desk to Jumer's ice buckets, it should be a sale to remember.
