Son hurt when woman jumps from moving car after seeing spider

An car collided with a school bus, a nine-year-old boy tried to stop the car after his mother jumped from the moving vehicle.

SYRACUSE, Ind. — An car collided with a school bus, a nine-year-old boy tried to stop the car after his mother jumped from the moving vehicle.

Angela Kipp, 35, was backing out of her driveway with her 9-year-old son in the back seat when she saw a spider crawling on her shoulder Friday, September 18, 2015.  Kipp panicked and jumped out of the car, and her son moved to the front seat to try to bring it to a stop, according to WFTV.

The boy accidentally hit the gas pedal, instead of the brake, and drove the car into a school bus.  Police told WFTV the boy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

No passengers were on board the bus at the time of the wreck.  No other injuries were reported.
