Madison Keys went up against Serena Williams for the second time in a championship. Keys, a Quad Cities native, competed against Williams in the U.S. Open.

Their match was Sunday afternoon, September 6, 2015; Williams defeated Keys in two sets, 6-3.  Because Williams defeated Keys, she is able to continue on her mission to a Grand Slam, winning all four championships in the same year.  Stephanie Graf was the last one to achieve that victory back in 1988.

Williams now advances to the quarterfinal to play against her sister Venus Williams.
