Warning: Strong language after the song is finished may be offensive to some viewers
In an effort to get the Foo Fighters to perform a concert in Cesena, Italy, 1,000 musicians gathered and played “Learn to Fly” together.
Hundreds of singers, guitarists, bassists, and drummers made up the musical crowd.
After the song was done, a man stood up and spoke to the crowd and to the Foo Fighters, naming each member. He said he had organized the project, and had been working on it for more than a year.
“So our call is to ask you, The Foo Fighters, to come and play for us, come and play here, give a concert to all of us in Cesena,” he said.
The video had gotten 12 million views in just two days. It was posted July 30, 2015 by YouTube account Rockin’ 1000. Some other videos on the YouTuber’s channel show pieces of the process it took to make the video.
