Davenport Public Works: Fixed 12,000 Potholes This Year

Potholes are part of spring weather in our area, and this year is no exception.

Davenport Public Works Director Mike Clarke says his crews have fixed about 12,000 potholes so far this year.  The public works department is on a 'pothole fixing crusade' over the next two weeks.

Ten crews will battle the seemingly-endless list of potholes, according to a statement from the city.

On Monday, March 16, 2015 crews were out near Lombard and Ripley Street filling in the holes. Davenport Public Works is supposed to fill the potholes by zones of the city, for the next two weeks. The crews will be working along Brady and Harrison Street from River Drive to Interstate 80 on Monday, march 16, 2015.

The department will flatten the filled potholes with more asphalt later on this summer. If you've seen a pothole that needs to be fixed, you're asked to call the Davenport Public Works Department at 563-326-7923.
