Davenport crews will re-open the Credit Island Lodge on Thursday, March 12, 2015. The lodge was destroyed in May of 2013 after a fire broke out.

The lodge looks like what it did two years ago. Crews were out on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 working on the road that leads up to the lodge. It cost about $1.5 million to fix. The restoration was funded through property insurance, so it didn't cost taxpayers any money. Workers say they got off to a late start in fixing the lodge, to the spring and summer floods.

"It was a number six flood obviously, so it was pretty substantial," Swanson Construction President Steve Swanson said in October of 2014. "The building itself took on approximately three feet of water in the inside."

The new lodge has vents, so that water can flow through the lodge to make cleanup easier. The lodge opens at 4 p.m. Thursday.
