Two people were found dead inside a home in Davenport, Iowa.

Davenport officers were responding to a welfare check in the 1600 block of Arlington Avenue Wednesday, March 4, 2015 around 7:15 p.m., according to a statement from Captain Dale Sievert. Police were unable to get inside.

The Davenport Fire Department was called and forced their way inside, Sievert said. Officials on scene discovered the two deceased people in a bedroom.

“No foul play is suspected however the possibility of a drug overdose is, and the investigation is continuing,” Sievert said in the statement.

Both were taken to a nearby hospital where autopsies were pending, according to the statement.
